FREIGHT FIELD NOTES
How to compare warehouse offers beyond price
XDockHub · October 13, 2026
Review timing, included charges, handling suitability, and conditions before choosing a warehouse.
The lowest quoted total is only useful when it covers the work you actually need. Read the itemized included charges and compare like-for-like services.
Check the service window against the freight plan. A window that covers arrival still needs to fit the expected unloading, storage, and pickup. Ask about after-hours access if the driver may be delayed.
Confirm the equipment and freight rules. A provider should be comfortable with the load’s dimensions, total weight, condition, and any temperature or safety requirements.
Read the conditions and exclusions. Clarify whether extra labor, replacement pallets, wrap, debris removal, or storage beyond the agreed period would require separate agreement.
Keep important confirmations in the request’s message thread. This gives the customer and provider a shared record alongside the offer and booking.
On XDockHub, each warehouse’s offer is private. Compare the complete scope and service window before accepting one. Once booked, use the job record and invoice to keep the agreed work together.
